Zao Shang Hao, I am very glad to be here to represent UNICEF on this occasion, launching CNSIC’s New Brand.
UNICEF is pleased to authorize CNSIC to use UNICEF logo in its new small package of iodized salt, together with messages to promote the consumption of iodized salt in households.
As mentioned by Mr. Lin, it is rare for UNICEF to give authorization to an enterprise for using UNICEF logo. CNSIC wins this trust because of its continuous effort to eliminate IDD through Universal Salt Iodization since the last decade. We believe this has contributed significantly to the well being of women, children and the whole nation as shown by high coverage of iodized salt and reduction of iodine deficiency indicators over the years.
UNICEF hopes that CNSIC will continue to promote iodised salt to achieve high coverage in the remaining areas and sustain the achievement in all areas across China all the time. May I convey my congratulations for the new brand on behalf of UNICEF.
